Greetings and Happy New Year from Dive Dive Dive. We hope that each member of our diving family had a wonderful and safe holiday. 2015 was a great year at Dive Dive Dive. We trained a new cadre of divers (and now diving friends and family) and traveled to some exciting dive spots. We wrapped up 2015 with wonderful Christmas party at the dive shop, with good food, good friends and some really great dive gifts.

The D3 Christmas Party

For those that attended the D3 Christmas party I believe you will agree that a great time was had by all. The tables upstairs in the classroom were simply covered with wonderful goodies (and everyone knows that while scuba divers first passion is diving, their second passion is good food and they were not disappointed). So thanks to all of those that brought a dish to the party to share. While it is always great to taste the wonderful diver munchies – it is the reunion that makes this time so special. New divers and those with considerable experience sharing stories of past dive trips and making plans for new dive trips. It is fun to reconnect with divers you may not have seen in a while and to meet the new divers that have joined the D3 family. And we cannot overlook the annual drawing where a number of really cool diving accessories were given away – and this year was no exception, including that D3 gave away a new Sherwood computer. So if you missed the D3 Christmas party this year – make it a New Year resolution to plan on attending next year. And between now and then stop by the shop and check out the scuba trips planned for 2016. Plus, do not forget to take a peek at the training Dive Dive Dive will be offering this year. Improve your dive skills, become a more comfortable and confident diver and dive some cool places – now that sounds like the beginnings of a great dive plan for 2016.

Want to Become a Certified Scuba Diver?

If you are thinking about learning to dive – then we have a class schedule that will work with your hectic life style. We offer our standard monthly training – beginning the first Tuesday of every month. The class is Tuesday and Thursday nights beginning at 6:30 pm and runs for three weeks – so if this is something you are interested in then give the shop a call and make plans to attend the class. If the Tuesday – Thursday class does not meet your needs then we offer Executive Weekend classes. The Executive Weekend class begins on Friday at 6:30, and then Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 5:00. This is one of our most popular schedules and we offer the Executive Weekend class twice a month. And lastly, if the Tuesday – Thursday or Executive Weekend class is not for you then stop by the dive shop and learn how we can put together a “custom schedule” class that offers you the flexibility of picking the times and dates to take the class that works for you. Not sure you want to become a certified Scuba Diver? Then give the shop a call and schedule a Discover Scuba session where we will introduce you to the underwater world in the comfort of our open water simulator (i.e., the swimming pool). During the session, and under the careful guidance of our Discover Scuba team, we will put you in scuba gear and take you underwater in our pool to experience the excitement of scuba diving. Do not wait until the last minute to “Try Scuba” as our classes do fill early.

Can You Say Aquarium?

D3 is headed over to the Aquarium on the 17th of January to swim with big fish. The trip is sold out but keep an eye on D3 travel plans to learn when the next to the aquarium will take place. And if you have a large group of divers that want to dive the aquarium, give us a call and let’s see if we can arrange for your group to dive at the aquarium.

New Product Line

The leadership at Dive Dive Dive is always seeking ways to improve its customer experience and we listen to our diving family. While D3 has traditionally exclusively sold the Scuba Pro product line, the shop now carries the Sherwood line as well. Our customers indicated that they wanted a choice of scuba equipment manufacturers – and we heard you – and so in addition to Scuba Pro products, you will find Sherwood products on our shelves this year. If you are not familiar with the Sherwood product line stop by the shop and let one of our dive professionals show you what has Sherwood has to offer – from fins to computers Sherwood has a product that may meet your needs.

Specialty Instruction

You asked for it – and we listened. In 2015 our diving family asked us to provide more specialty training opportunities in 2016. And we are! Each month, in addition to Nitrox training, we will be offering a specialty course. On January 20th we will offer the deep course, and on February 17th we will offer the Night diving specialty. We have already scheduled other specialties throughout the year so stop by the shop and learn more about specialty training offered by Dive Dive Dive.

Blue Grotto in February

Want to get back in the water and blow a few bubbles before the dive season starts in earnest. Then join Instructor Wolfe as he heads to the Blue Grotto on February 19th. This is a great way to check out some of that new Christmas diving gear or practice your diving skills as you get ready for your spring break dive trip.

Let’s March Down to the Keys

That’s right – we are headed back to the Florida Keys in March. In the past we have taken the “luxury bus” down to the Keys, but once again, you asked that we put together a trip where everyone was responsible for their own transportation to the Keys – so we did. Owner Lee and Instructor Mike are headed to the Keys on March 17th and diving on the 18th – 20th. For all of the details about the trip give the shop a call – or better yet stop by and check out all of our trips.

2016 – A Great Time to Be a D3 Family Member

We hope that one your resolutions was to stop by the Dive Shop Regularly! At D3 we are a “family” of divers – if you are interested in learning to Dive – or you are a certified diver looking for “dive family” – then why not consider D3 and let us show you some “serious diving” and “serious fun”.
