Last issue I told you how cool Saba was so this month I want to share with you how HOT Cozumel was. I don’t mean the night life or local bartenders I mean the weather. It was hot but we still had a great time.
Cozumel!
Scuba Club was a wonderful place to stay. On the ocean, close to town and with a nice little house reef for afternoon or night dives. At least I assume it was nice for afternoon dives, I wouldn’t know because I indulged in a local custom and napped the afternoon away in the hopes that when I woke up it would have cooled off a bit. If you’re looking to go to Cozumel this year give us a call and we will set you up with Scuba Club. You’ll enjoy it, I promise.
SSI Adaptive
I want to take a minute to tell you about some very special training that Judd Wolfe, Trace Blackmore and I took last month. Judd and I have become SSI Adaptive SCUBA instructors and Trace an Adaptive Dive Con.
Adaptive SCUBA is a program designed to teach people with certain physical disabilities including paraplegics, quadriplegics, the deaf and blind to SCUBA dive. The three of us are very excited about the opportunity to help someone whose facing these challenges to do something they might never have thought they could do.
Adaptive Buddies!
We can also train people to be Adaptive Buddies. These buddies will be trained to help the divers as they explore the underwater world. So, if you know someone you think would be a good candidate for this program or if you would like to become a Adaptive Buddy please give us a call. We hope everyone has a great 4th of July and we hope to see you all in the store again really soon.
